Wright again doesn’t have the facts correct, further illustrating sloppy research, when stating: “As soon as they returned to Cagliari, Hubbard cast off lines and set a course through the Strait of Gibraltar for open water.
He even changed the names of his ships, in order to erase the connections with Scientology. The Enchanter became the Diana, the Avon River became the Athena, and the flagship Royal Scotman turned into the Apollo.
>> True Information: Wright jumbles the entire sequence and misses the facts. The ship was in Cagliari in March 1969 before it “cast off.” The names of the ships were changed nearly a year earlier, in April and May 1968 (i.e., Royal Scotman to Apollo, etc.) before this alleged story occurred.
